Policy & Advocacy
WJP collaborates on policy issues at the local, state and national levels.
Our policy work is informed by direct representation of workers and litigation of their claims. Our goal is to bring the experiences of workers and issues working people face to the table, to ensure that workers; voices are part of policy discussions and that policy solutions aregrounded in workers’ lives.
Systemic change: we are driven by the need for change to affect the lives of individual workers and working families as a step to changing the systems that perpetuate racial, social, and economic inequity. We work with partners across all determinants of equity to build power and support systematic reform for a more equitable society.
Campaigns: we undertake policy and advocacy priorities by starting with the question – what difference will the success of this effort make in the lives of workers?
